Student Sponsorship Programme
We're covering the university fees and transport costs of
13 female students.
The programme is an ever-growing project, the more funds we have the more students will be able access university.
Sponsoring a student costs £20/month but you can also group sponsor and donate whichever amount you can afford.

IT Community Centres
We've created 3 IT centres that provide IT access to a total of 140 students and employ 1 full-time and 2 part-time teachers.
The cost of running the centres, including the teachers' salaries, is £1,400/year.

Learn Grow Live - improving learning environments
Learn Grow Live focuses on improving the learning facilities of all of Laia Foundation's educational centres.
We're starting with Vedanthangal's nursery school (currently attended by 39 children) and Thandarai Pettai's after-school centre (with 63 students).
The total amount to cover the costs of new furniture in the above centres is £3,700.

Apart from our 3 IT teachers, we're also covering the following salaries:
PT Admin woman: to help with the contact with beneficiaries and develop and manage a woman-only project (details on this project will be available soon)

Refurbishment of nursery school
In March 2020, we paid for flooring and tiling the nursery school in Vedanthangal in order to improve the learning environment.

We've covered the costs of school material for two consecutive years i.e. 2019/20 and 2020/21.
The material includes:
Textbooks for all students
Notebooks for 1st to 5th year students
Schoolbags, shirts and belts for all students (2019/20)
Shirts for all students (2020/21)
